about
Everyone at some point has felt ‘unwanted.’ Maybe because of your relationship with a lover or with society? As a relativity unknown artist in a fairly small city playing a type music that doesn’t quite ‘fit’ or ‘belong,’ we are somewhat accustomed to feeling like a stranger in our own backyard. Because of this we can barely even imagine the way that those who are marginalized because of sex or race feel every day. It was these ideas of isolation, depletion and then rebirth that inspired the song ‘Belong.’ We wrote it while in an illegally run Airbnb in West Hollywood. We were sitting on an air mattress with an acoustic guitar and as we were writing the song the air in the mattress slowly began to deplete. By the time the song was written I was basically sitting on the floor but nevertheless I stood back up on my own two feet, now with a new song and in a better position than I was before. This to me is the very idea that gave birth to rock and roll. Don’t be defeated, instead let others’ negativity fill you up like a balloon (or air mattress) and lift you to a place you never thought you could reach.
lyrics
Go on girl you can fill me up
I’d be lost without you
Even as the air it fills my lungs
I can’t breathe without you
It feels like a tourniquet coming undone
I won’t be here forever
Seeing as you traveled all this way
I still can’t go on without you
Baby you keep moving me
(I don’t belong to you)
Like the sound of a heartbeat that was never there
(I don’t belong to you)
I’m tired and I’m freezing
I don’t want to go
But I’ll be gone in a moment
You make me as happy as english folks
Back across the ocean
Baby you keep moving me
(I don’t belong to you)
Like the sound of a heartbeat that was never there
(I don’t belong to you)
I was waiting patiently
(I don’t belong to you)
Now I know that you don’t belong to me
And I don’t belong to you

Fraud!
I didn't receive any goods after I paid. Every attempt to contact the artist or Bandcamp failed. I don't recommend anyone to buy here. Sorry but not sorry. With this unprofessional behavior you have lost all support and respect from me. elephant-man
Madrid's Caliza creates intricately sound-designed ambient art pop addressing the climate crisis on this striking new LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 23, 2021
I've picked up the band's albums in a jumbled up fashion - this being the last, but the quality has held up over their discography. Makes me wish I had an old Out Run cabinet to play while listening to. mattmattinson
